Ed passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 after a long illness.
Everyone knew that inside that "Bear-sized" body of his was the kindest and most gentle soul anyone could ever meet. He was the epitome of what an actor should be.
When I went to L.A. for the first time 6 years ago, Ed was my port in a storm. He showed me the ropes, would coach my auditions. It was so nice having a friend each year to connect with in a sea of strangers. He was a brilliant Shakespeare actor as well.
Ed! I was his number one elf to his Santa Claus at a special two week run special event at La Villita. He was a beautiful jolly guy. Loved him. Sad.
